Joy of Christmas by The Urban Fairy

I'm back with another fantastic release from The Urban Fairy. This collection, Joy of Christmas, is so full of lovely goodies, and very versatile. It is on sale now at 56% off, with the whole collection coming in at under $9!

Why do I love The Urban Fairy's products so much? In addition to the high-quality images, she has such a fantastic artsy flair and that shows up in her products. Her collections just speak to me on a level not always found with others. She embeds a sense of humor and a dose of real life in her art. It sometimes feels as if we are kindred spirits.

This collection can be found at The Digital Scrapbooking Studio.

Some pages for inspiration:

See how versatile? I created a Chanukah page from a Christmas collection! Template by the ever-so-fabulous Heartstrings Scrap Art (Patchwork Pieces 2D). Her templates can also be found at The Digital Scrapbooking Studio.

The December Pixel Scrapper Blog Train

Pixel Scrapper's December Blog Train is leaving the station! The theme this month was "At the Table," which leaves a lot of room for interpretation. We celebrate Chanukah, so I thought it would be nice to have my part reflect that, as there are many Christmas kits, but not a whole lot of Chanukah things out there for you digital scrappers who may celebrate it! There are also some fun, arty elements, paints, and papers that aren't holiday-related.

Scroll down through my blog to pick up a bonus Quick Page!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving! Today I get to spend time with both my husband's family (for his mom's birthday), and with my family for Thanksgiving dinner. I am so grateful to have a wonderful support system on both sides, who cheer on my son at his shows, and assist in a lot of the "getting him to and from" places.

I am also thankful for you, my comrades in digital scrapbooking. As a token of appreciation, I created a quick page and a few winter flairs using Leigh Penrod Digital Designs paper and elements.

If you are unfamiliar with Leigh's work, her blog is HERE. And you can purchase her scrapbooking kits at Digi Style Designs and Go Digital Scrapbooking.

The quick page below was creating using her kit "Chasing the Blues." Personal use only, please!

You can download it from Dropbox HERE.

The flairs were created using papers from "Chasing the Blues" and her "Winter Friends" elements. Personal use only, please! To download, right-click on the images and click "Save Image."

Enjoy your time with your family and friends, and, as always, happy scrapping!

The file does not contain the picture or journaling. ;)

Football & Flowers

Sorry, folks! The time slipped away from me this week as my son was in final tech rehearsals for "A Christmas Carol" at Goodman Theatre. I managed to make a little time this afternoon to do another painted flower for you, though.

PU only. If you know of anyone who would enjoy this, please direct them here to my blog.

Football & Flowers

It has been a crazy weekend here, and my son is going into Tech Week for his show that starts November 19, so it is bound to get even crazier! I attempted something new this week. Instead of  a flower picture, I painted a flower. Hope you like it!

PU only, please. If you know someone who would enjoy it, please send them here to this blog. To save, right-click and "Save Image."

Happy scrapping!

Football & Flowers

It's another brisk fall Sunday here in the midwest, and many of us here in Chicago had a great reason to celebrate this week, with the Chicago Cubs winning the World Series! The city had a huge parade and rally downtown, which made bringing my son to rehearsal nearly impossible on Friday- we made it downtown and fought the crowds to get to the theatre in time for a costume fitting, only to find out rehearsal was cancelled. :/

Anyhow, here is a pretty little yellow flower for you. PU only- please direct people here to the blog if you know someone who would like it, too!

To save, right click and select "Save Image." Enjoy, and happy scrapping!

The November Pixel Scrapper Blog Train

The November Pixel Scrapper blog train has left the station! This month's theme was "Enchanting Autumn." I deviated a bit from the traditional autumn stuff. I don't know why, but it made me think of garden statues and butterflies. All photography for the papers and elements is my own. I *finally* got a new laptop, a Surface Book, which is the coolest thing ever- it allows me to paint and draw on the screen within Photoshop, so I experimented a little with the butterflies in this kit.

Football & Flowers

There may be football on today, but I am bleeding Cubbie Blue and Red right now! My beloved Cubs are up 2 games in their division series. Since I extracted a white flower this week, I figured I would play around with things.

Right click on each image and then click "Save Image." If you enjoy these, please pass on the link to my blog, not the images themselves. For personal use only- thanks in advance!

PS- I kept these bigger, around 3 inches, so they will make great individual accents for your pages! (Or you can shrink 'em down and pile 'em on!!)

Enjoy your week! Happy scrapping!

DSD is here!

Happy Digital Scrapbooking Day! With school back in session, I feel like my time is limited and I've seen SO many goodies all over that I want to gather up this weekend!

That being said, here is a little page-kit freebie for you with 4 papers and 10 elements, made with all of my own photography.

Good thing it is supposed to be rainy and gloomy all day, because I plan to stay behind my laptop gathering goodies all day! :)

Enjoy celebrating and scrapping!

October Pixel Scrapper Blog Train- School of Art

It's Pixel Scrapper Blog Train time! This month's theme was "School of Art," so I focused on theatre arts, and everything coordinates with last month's kit. If you are wondering what that stuff is that looks like red washi tape, it is called SPIKE tape and it is used to mark the stage for positioning of props, scenery, and people. I thought it would be neat to use it like washi. And I hope you like the papers with the floor lights- those, the marquee, the floors, and the Broadway sign are all my own photography.

Don't forget to stop by Pixel Scrappers here to grab the rest of the train and leave some love for all the fabulous designers we have there!

There are three parts- the papers, elements, and alphas.

Football & Flowers

There actually is no football on in the house today- DH and the boy went to a toy soldier show and then are going to see "Magnificent Seven" later. Peace and quiet around here! Which means I am getting some time to work on a special surprise for you to celebrate Digital Scrapbooking Day (which, if you didn't hear, was moved up to the first weekend in October, so it is next Saturday!).

It also will happen to collide with the new Pixel Scrapper blog train, so when you check back, there will be not one, but TWO free kits up here.

Enjoy your week!
